I just wanted to ask for prayers for Timmy,  my great-nephew.  He will be having back surgery on Wednesday, March 22 to correct a severe scoliosis that has begun causing pressure on his little heart. They will place him in a body cast starting from about mid chest up over the shoulders and attach a metal frame to that, to secure the head to. He will be in ICU for probably 3 days and then on a regular unit for 4 more days at least. When he does go home, he will be in the cast and a wheelchair for 3 months until the spine can stabilized.

First things first, this is John writing on behalf of Judy.  She hasn't had access to a computer for several days hence I am sending her (our) heartfelt thanks for your prayers and the kind words many sent in reply to the original e-mail. The following notes are of-course secondhand via a phone call and while the details may be lacking somewhat, the joy in my heart for the miracles performed by GOD for this young child’s life are anything BUT lacking.
 
Timmy's spinal surgery went remarkably well and he was NOT required to wear a body cast after all. He is wearing some sort of neck brace device.  The doctors were amazed at how well Timmy progressed after the surgery. He was allowed to get up and walk two days after the surgery. YES WALK!  ALL PRAISE AND THANKS BE TO GOD!! Timmy got to come home on Sunday - just 5 days after the operation.  Judy said he had even been allowed to ride a rocking horse in the Pediatric Unit of the hospital. God has definitely held this little guy in the palm of His mighty hands.  I truly believe that Timmy is to be one of God's special people on this earth - more-so than he already has been - I can hardly wait to see the other miracles God will perform in and through him.
 
I'm not very medically savvy, so if any of you would care to know the exact details, Judy will need to provide those when she returns from Illinois.
 
Although Judy and I know that all of this was just another of God's many miracles in our lives, we also know that the many prayers offered up by you and others in Timmy's behalf were music to the ears of our Almighty Father letting Him know that one of His "least" was being lifted up for His loving and gracious healing.
 
We THANK ALL OF YOU for those prayers and ask that you keep Timmy, and especially the rest of his family, in your prayers for a while longer.  The family issue Judy had mentioned in the earlier e-mail is still yet to be healed.  I'm sure that God will someday also grant this prayer - but in that day, another wondrous miracle of no less marvel than the healing of Timmy's body, will have taken place.
 
In closing, let me offer this prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for all that you have given every one of us each day, especially this healing of little Timmy. Hold him close to You and guide his life in Your path. Also, Thank You Lord for all these people that have taken time in their busy lives to lift up our little loved one to You for the healing that can only come from the wonders of Your gracious love for us all.  May You continue to richly bless all of us with your gifts and grace that we may bring glory to You each day.  In the precious name of Your Son, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
