“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2: 8,9 (English Standard Version)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”, Romans 3:23,24 (English Standard Version)
Or written another way as is paraphrased in The Message version:
“Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.” (The Message)

Please look at the scripture and think about the fact that it is by faith in Jesus Christ that men enter into eternal life with him and not through serving or anything we can do. If you need to talk more about it please ask God for help, talk to a pastor link or a Christian that has been on their spiritual journey longer than you. It is BECAUSE of what God has done for us that we want to serve others not as the fee for admission into paradise.
